NEW TUTORIAL NEWS FLASH!

WOW! Thank you all for your commitment and very kind comments made about my tutorials. The demand and following has grown worldwide and I've made some good friends from creating these tutorials.

The first and second tutorials are still selling and new people are being told about them every day, which helps boost sales and makes them all possible.

Well, it's 2008 and time for a new year and a new set of tutorials. To kick-off the new year, I'm happy to deliver the 4th tutorial in my
'how to'
series. This one show how to create
a 'Sweet Dreams' Baby cuddled with his/her favourite teddy bear.

All the tutorials can now be found in one easy to find link, so please bookmark this for easy access in the future, as this is where all new tutorials will be placed from now on.

Here are just a few of comments
made about the tutorials so far:

I purchased the tutorial this morning and I can’t believe the level of detail Lorraine shows. This one is for a cute baby topper but it gives you the fundamentals of body shape, clothing, how to make hands (I’ve always had real problems in the area!) and the list goes on and on at what you would be able to adapt the instructions for!

I ordered Lorraine's tutorial today (got the link within a couple of hours) and it is amazing! Every little detail is covered, including all of the tools needed and how to make the modelling paste and glue. The step-by-step instructions are very detailed, but clear and easy to follow and the pictures really help (especially for visual learners like me!).
I cannot recommend it enough!

This is something so many of us have been waiting for! Exciting news, indeed!
After my first success under Lorraine's tutelage, I'm anxious to download this tutorial and try my hand at a little tot. (Unfortunately, I have to wait until after I move this weekend!!!! Oh, the AGONY! lol)
Scott || Portland, Oregon

I haven’t done any figure modeling before and I was unsure of where to begin.
The books I have, have great written text, but there is a lack of step-by-step photos, which I feel is necessary for someone of my ability (a beginner). Thanks so much for sharing your talent. I’m already looking forward to your next installment, and I will certainly be recommending your lessons to my cakey friends.

This is the best thing of all about being web-based anyone around the world can purchase the tutorial. You then get emailed a link with your own password. This enables you to login to the tutorial. I have printed mine out this morning… no postage no waiting!!! Very cool!

Bespoke Wedding
and
Celebration Cakes
by Lorraine McKay

Welcome to The Icing on
the Cake. My name is

Lorraine McKay and I am the sole owner of this cake making and decorating business. It all began as a hobby which got out of hand! As more requests were made of me I decided to vacate my kitchen and open up a Studio and workshop. After winning Bronze and Gold Awards for my achievements I think I made the right move!

I am the only person involved in making and creating your cake so I provide a very personal service. Ideas for your unique and special cake may come from any photographs you might have or simply from your own thoughts. It's amazing the kind of designs that can be achieved from a chat in the Studio!

Special cakes deserve special attention and I can certainly guarantee you that! Have a look at the cakes in my gallery and hopefully you will see what I mean. Some of the novelty designs are not my own but have been adapted from designs by cake decorators who I admire.

See the "find me" page for details on how to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you!
